વ્યક્તિને નિશ્ચિત કામ સોંપાયું. સંસદની દરેક સીટ માટેના એક એક ઇનચાર્જ નક્કી
કરી દેવાયા. આટલી ઝીણવટભરી યોજના નવેમ્બરના પ્રારંભ પહેલાં તો થઈ ગઈ
હંતી. આ યોજનામાં જેલમાંથી છૂટીને આવનારાઓનો સમાવેશ તો હતો જ નહીં.
તેઓ સૌ છૂટે તો સંખ્યાબળમાં વધારો થવાનો જ હતો. ચૂંટણીની તૈયારીઓની યોજના
સરકાર સુધી ન પહોંચી જાય તેની પણ તકેદારી રાખવામાં આવી. ધારવા પ્રમાણે
ચૂંટણીઓ આવી. યોજનાઓ તો તૈયાર હતી જ... વધારામાં સરકારે મુક્ત ચૂંટણીની
જાહેરાત કરી. એ જાહેરાતે અમારા જેવા ભૂગર્ભકાર્યકરોનો વિશ્વાસ અનેકગણો
વધારી દીધો.
ભૂગર્ભપ્રવૃત્તિ દરમ્યાન સંઘના પ્રચારકો સર્વશ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઈ પંચાસરા,
શાંતિભાઈ દરુ, અનંતરાવજી કાળે, ભાસ્કરરાવ દામલે, વાસુદેવરાવ તળવલકર,
નટવરસિંહ વાઘેલા, જનાર્દનભાઈ રાસ્તે, કાશીનાથજી બાગવડે વગેરે અન્ય
ભૂગર્ભસાથીઓની સહાયથી બે, ત્રણ કે ચાર જિલ્લાઓનું કામ સંભાળતા હતા.
પ્રારંભમાં અશોક ભટ્ટ અને ઘનશ્યામ મહેતા દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતનું ભૂગર્ભકાર્ય સંભાળતા
હતા; પરંતુ પાછળથી પકડાઈ ગયા. સર્વશ્રી શંકરસિંહ વાઘેલા, ભીખુભાઈ ભટ્ટ તથા
વિદ્યાર્થી પરિષદના શ્રી અરુણ ઓઝા કામ કરતાં કરતાં જ પકડાઈ ગયા.
કટોકટીના પડકારને પહોંચી વળવા અનેક કાર્યકરોએ પોતાનાં વ્યક્તિગત
ધંધા-નોકરીનો ત્યાગ કરી પૂર્ણ સમય સંઘર્ષકાર્ય કરવાનાં ઉમદા ઉદાહરણો પૂરાં
પાડ્યાં હતાં. તામિલનાડુમાં જન્મેલ ભાઈ રવિ અય્યર મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં ભણ્યા-ગણ્યા
અને મુંબઈની એક મોટી ફર્મમાં સારી જગ્યા ઉપર સેવા બજાવતા હતા. સંઘર્ષ માટે
નોકરી છોડી દીધી. વિદ્યાર્થી પરિષદમાં પૂર્ણ સમય કામ શરૂ કર્યું. કટોકટીના દિવસોમાં
ગુજરાત વિદ્યાર્થી પરિષદનું કામ સંભાળ્યું. આનંદ શર્માના નામથી તેઓ ઘણો સમય
ગુજરાતમાં જ રહ્યા. આવા જ મુંબઈના બીજા બે સાથીઓ હતા ભાઈ પ્રવીણ ટાંક
અને શ્રી નરેશ સોલંકી. બંને પર પોલીસ ઇન્ફોર્મર એવા એક વિદ્યાર્થીના ખૂન કેસનો
આરોપ (પાછળથી કોર્ટમાં નિર્દોષ જાહેર થયા) AS daz અને Aa પણ ખરાં
