તથા શ્રી નારાયણભાઈ દેસાઈ રમાં ઝડપાયા. ર

ઘણા પ્રયત્નો પછી પણ સરકારી તંત્ર ભૂગર્ભકાર્યકરોને પકડવામાં સફળ થયું,
નહોતું... તેમ છતાંય તેના પ્રયત્નો અસફળ. જ ગયા હતા એમ પણ નહીં. ગુજરાત
સરકારના પતન પછીના પ્રથમ સપ્તાહમાં જ ભૂગર્ભ વ્યવસ્થાની એક અગત્યની
સંપર્કવ્યક્તિ ઉપર ચોટ થઈ. આ ચોટ અમારે માટે આશ્ચર્યપ્રેરક તથા વિઘખપ્રદ નીવડી.
સરકારે અમારા ભૂગર્ભકાર્યના એક સહયોગી સ્વયંસેવક શ્રી નવીનભાઈ ભાવસારની
ધરપકડ કરી. શ્રી નવીનભાઈને ત્યાં ભૂગર્ભકાર્ય સંબંધિત કેટલીક અગત્યની ટપાલ
આવતાની સાથે જ પોલીસે દરોડો પાડ્યો. અમારું એક ભૂગર્ભ સરનામું સરકાર
પાસે કેવી રીતે પહોંચ્યું તે અમારે માટે આશ્ચર્યપ્રદ હતું. બીજાં સરનામાં તથા
ABA ua કદાચ પકડાઈ ગયાં હોય તેવી શંકા પણ અમને થઈ. શ્રી
નવીનભાઈની મુદ્દામાલ સાથે ધરપકડ થઈ. તેમની સાથે શ્રી પરીન્દુ ભગત (કાકુ),
શ્રી ગોવિંદરાવ ગજેન્દ્રગડકર અને શ્રી વિનોદ ગજેન્દ્રગડકરને પણ પૂછપરછ માટે
પકડવામાં આવ્યા. ધરપકડ કરાયેલ સૌની સતત પૂછપરછ કરવામાં આવી. આવેલ
પત્રો પર નામ હતું USI’. (આ પુસ્તકના લેખકનું ભૂગર્ભનામ “પ્રકાશ' હતું.)
સરકાર આ નામ જાણી ગઈ. હવે લેખકની માહિતી માટે ધરપકડ કરાયેલ સૌને
જાતજાતની ધમકીઓ આપવામાં આવી. ધરપકડ કરાયેલ ગજેન્દ્રગડકર પરિવારના
પિતા-પુત્રની ધરપકડની માહિતી પણ તેમના પરિવારજનોને આપવામાં ન આવી.
અનેક તરકીબો પછી પણ પોલીસને કોઈ માહિતી ન મળી અને શ્રી નવીનભાઈ
પર રનો કેસ કરવામાં આવ્યો.
