રહ્યા હતા.. આથી શ્રી વર્મા પછી તેમના સ્થાને શ્રી દત્તોપંતજી ઠેંગડીને આ કાર્ય
સંભાળવાનું આવ્યું - જોકે આ વ્યવસ્થા વચગાળાની હતી, કારણ, શરૂઆતથી જ
ભૂગર્ભમાં રહી આંદોલન ચલાવનારાઓમાંના તેઓ પણ એક હોઈ સરકાર તેમને

સમિતિ'ની કેન્દ્રીય નેતાગીરીમાં વ્યાપક હતો. દરેક રીતે તેમનું વ્યક્તિત્વ યોગ્ય હોઈ
શ્રી એસ. એમ. જોશી અને શ્રી દત્તોપંતજી ઠેંગડીએ તેમની સાથે વાત કરીને આગળ
વધવાનું નક્કી થયું. એ અરસામાં ૨-૩ માર્ચે સર્વોદય નેતાઓનો એક અખિલ
ભારતીય કાર્યક્રમ ગુજરાતમાં ભરૂચ પાસેના શુક્લતીર્થમાં હતો. દેશભરના મુખ્ય
મુખ્ય સર્વોદયી મિત્રો ભેગા મળી દેશની તત્કાલીન સ્થિતિમાં જે. પી., વિનોબાજી
વગેરેની ભૂમિકાઓનો સવિસ્તર વિચાર કરી રહ્યા હતા. શ્રી નારાયણ દેસાઈ પણ
