આગેવાની હેઠળ આઠ સત્યાગ્રહીઓએ સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો. ગામના આ સત્યાગ્રહને
જોવા માટે જનતા ખૂબ ઉત્સુક હતી. ત્યાંના સત્યાગ્રહીઓને અમદાવાદની સાબરમતી
જેલમાં જ લાવવામાં આવતા હતા.
સાબરકાંઠા જિલ્લાનો સત્યાગ્રહ હિંમતનગરમાં વલ્લભભાઈ દોશીની
આગેવાનીમાં થયો. ત્યાં સત્યાગ્રહ કરતા પહેલાં જે. પી.ના સ્વાસ્થ્ય માટે પ્રાર્થના
કરવામાં આવી હતી. ત્યાં પણ એકત્રિત થયેલા વિશાળ જનસમુદાયે સત્યાગ્રહીઓને
વિદાય આપી હતી.
મહેસાણામાં જિલ્લાનાં સાત જુદાં જુદાં ગામોમાંથી આવેલ સત્યાગ્રહીઓનું
નેતૃત્વ શ્રી શ્યામાપ્રસાદ શાસ્ત્રીએ લીધું હતું. જે જે ગામોમાંથી સત્યાગ્રહીઓ આવ્યા
તે દરેક ગામમાં જાહેર વિદાયના કાર્યક્રમો થયા.
સત્યાગ્રહના સમાચાર જાણી આબુમાં ગુપ્તવાસ કરતા એક કપિલદેવ સ્વામી
પોતાની વ્યક્તિગત સાધના છોડીને જનજાગૃતિ માટે મેદાનમાં આવ્યા. ભગવાધારી,
Asay શરીર, માથે મુંડન, લાંબી ચોટી અને અણીદાર નાકવાળા આ સ્વામીજીની
વાણી આગ વરસાવતી હતી.
. બનાસકાંઠા જિલ્લામાં પાલનપુરમાં શ્રી ભેરુપ્રતાપ શાસ્ત્રીના નેતૃત્વમાં આઠ
સત્યાગ્રહીઓએ સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો.
કચ્છ જિલ્લાએ ભુજથી સત્યાગ્રહનો પ્રારંભ કર્યો. ૭૮ વર્ષના શ્રી નારાયણ
ગોસ્વામી તથા શ્રી રતનસિંહભાઈ સેજપાલ સહિત સાત સત્યાગ્રહીઓએ કાનૂનભંગ
કરી ધરપકડ વહોરી લીધી.
જામનગર જિલ્લાના ૧૦ સત્યાગ્રહીઓએ શ્રી દિનેશકુમાર વ્યાસના નેતૃત્વમાં
સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો. આ સત્યાગ્રહીઓને વિદાય આપવા માટે વિશાળ જનમેદની એકઠી
થઈ હતી - ખાસ કરીને કૉલેજના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ત્યાં હાજર હતા.
રાજકોટ જિલ્લાનો સત્યાગ્રહ રાજકોટ આકાશવાણી કેન્દ્ર સામે થયો.
ચજકોટના સુપ્રસિદ્ધ ડૉક્ટર શ્રી પી. વી. દોશી (જેઓ રા. સ્વ. સંઘના ગુજરાતના
પ્રાંત સંઘચાલક છે)ના નેતૃત્વમાં ૧૫ સત્યાગ્રહીઓએ સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો. ત્યાં
સત્યાગ્રહીઓને વિદાય આપવા નવા ચૂંટાયેલ મેયર શ્રી અરવિંદભાઈ મણિયારના
અધ્યક્ષપદે એક વિશાળ સભા ગોઠવાઈ હતી. રાજકોટ જિલ્લાના બધા જ
સત્યાગ્રહીઓને ૧૫ દિવસ સુધી “અન્ડર ટ્રાયલ' તરીકે જેલમાં રાખવામાં આવતા
