આવી હતી. સંમેલને “અખબારી સંકલન સમિતિ' નીમીને નાનાંમોટાં અખબારોની
વર્તમાન પરિસ્થિતિમાં શી દશા થઇ છે અને તેમને કેવી કેવી મુશ્કેલીઓ પડે છે
તે અંગે પગલાં ભરવા સૂચન કર્યું હતું.
આ સમિતિમાં શ્રી વિષ્ણુભાઈ પંડ્યા, શ્રી પ્રહ્લાદભાઈ બ્રહ્મભટ્ટ, શ્રી કીર્તિદેવ
દેસાઈ GL), શ્રી પ્રકાશ શાહ અને શ્રી દેવીપ્રસાદ waned સમાવેશ કરવામાં

સંમેલનમાં રાષ્ટ્રીય આગેવાનો શ્રી નાનાસાહેબ ગોરે, શ્રી એસ. એમ. જોશી, શ્રી
શાંતિભૂષણ અને શ્રી મોહન ધારિયાની હાજરી નોંધપાત્ર હતી.
સંમેલનમાં હાજર રહેલ ભૂગર્ભ કાર્યકર શ્રી કર્પૂરી ઠાકુર સાથે ઓળખીતા
લોકો આંખ મેળવી પ્રસન્નતા અનુભવતા હતા. દેશ આખો જ્યારે કારાગૃહ સમાન
બની ગયો હતો ત્યારે ગુજરાતની ભૂમિ ઉપર રોજબરોજ કેન્દ્રીય તાનાશાહી સામે
પોકારો ઊભા થતા હતા.
આ સંમેલનમાં ગુજરાતમાં સફળતાપૂર્વક ચાલી રહેલ જનતા મોરચા સરકાર
અને વધુ ને વધુ મજબૂત બનતી મોરચાની સંસ્થાકીય UMA ભારતીય રાજકારહના
વિકાસમાં એક શકવર્તી વિધાયક સીમાસ્તંભ તરીકે ઓળખાવવામાં આવી હતી. આ
સંમેલન તાનાશાહીની કૂર રીતરસમોથી હતાશાના પગથારે ઊભેલ રાષ્ટ્રના
રાજકારણને પણ નવો ઉત્સાહ, નવી આશા અને નવી દિશા આપે તેવું હતું.
જનતા મોરચાના આ સંમેલનમાં લોકશાહી વિરુદ્ધનાં બળો સામે અંત સુધી
લડી લેવાનો કૉલ આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
