આ સત્યાગ્રહમાં જુદા જુદા જિલ્લાઓએ એક એક દિવસ સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો
હતો. રાજકોટના સત્યાગ્રહનો પ્રારંભ જામનગર જિલ્લાની ટુકડીએ કર્યો હતો, જ્યારે
વડોદરામાં વાઘોડિયાના ભાઈઓએ સત્યાગ્રહના શ્રીગણેશ કર્યા હતા.
પચીસમીએ વડોદરાના સત્યાગ્રહના અંતિમ દિવસે વડોદરા શહેરનાં ૭૧
ભાઈબહેનોએ સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો હતો. શ્રી ગોરધનભાઈ બેચરભાઈના નેતૃત્વમાં થયેલ
સત્યાગ્રહમાં સત્યાગ્રહીઓને વિદાય આપવા વિશાળ. જનમેદની એકઠી થઈ હતી.
બારડોલીના શ્રી લલ્લુભાઈ ખત્રી, શ્રી ઈશ્વરભાઈ ભાવસાર વગેરેએ પણ રરમી
તારીખે સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો હતો. રાજકોટના સત્યાગ્રહમાં પાંચ જિલ્લાનાં ૧૬ સ્થળેથી
આવેલી ટુકડીઓએ. આવીને સત્યાગ્રહ કર્યો હતો.
'નેતામુક્તિ જ્યોત'
ગાંધીના ગુજરાતે ગાંધી-જ્યંતીને દિવસે લોકશાહીની પુનઃસ્થાપના માટે
જનજાગરણ કાર્યક્રમમાં “લોકશાહી જ્યોત'નો એક વિશિષ્ટ કાર્યક્રમ યોજ્યો હતો.
ગુજરાતના અનેક તાલુકાઓમાં યુવકો જ્યોત લઈને ક્યાંક પગપાળા તો ક્યાંક
સાઇકલ ઉપર આખા વિસ્તારમાં ઘૂમી વળ્યા હતા. બીજી ઓક્ટોબરે જિલ્લા કેન્દ્ર
ઉપર આ જ્યોતનું ભવ્ય સ્વાગત કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
ઠેરઠેર જ્યોતનું ઉમળકાભર્યું સ્વાગત થતું હતું. દરેક જગાએ સભાઓ થતી
હતી. જાહેર સભાઓમાં ગામનાં ગામ ઊમટતાં હતાં. તેમાં લોકશાહીના રક્ષણ માટેની
પ્રતિજ્ઞા લેવામાં આવતી હતી અને જ્યોત આગળ વધતી હતી.
ખેડા જિલ્લામાં શ્રી હરીશ પટેલની આગેવાનીમાં ૬૨ સાઇકલ-સવારો સાથેની
લોકશાહી જ્યોત ૨૬ સપ્ટેમ્બરથી ૨ ઓક્ટોબર સુધીમાં નડિયાદ તાલુકાનાં ૯,
પેટલાદ તાલુકાનાં ૯, બોરસદ તાલુકાનાં ૮, માતર તાલુકાનાં ર, બાલાસિનોર
તાલુકાનાં 2, ઠાસરા તાલુકાનાં ૭, કપડવંજ તાલુકાનાં ૭, ખંભાત તાલુકાનાં ૬ -
