आबेदन-पत्र ले जाने का जिम्मा गुजरात विद्यापीठ के श्री धीरूभाई देसाई को सौंपा
गया। अचानक उनका स्वास्थ्य बिगड़ जाने के कारण वे नहीं जा पाए, किंतु अपने
एक निजी पत्र के साथ उन्होंने आवेदन-पत्र पवनार भिजवा दिया।
सुसंगठित संघर्ष हेतु राजनीतिक दलों के एकीकरण के साथ-ही-साथ
लोकतंत्र समर्थक छोटी-बड़ी संस्थाओं तथा व्यक्तियों को एकसूत्र में पिरोने के भी
