पर ' भूमिपुत्र' का प्रकाशन जारी रखने हेतु नया प्रेस शुरू करवाने के लिए लोगों ने
पूरा आर्थिक सहयोग दिया था। इस जन सहयोग से एक नए प्रेस ' अभय मुद्रिका'
का सर्जन हुआ। इसपर भी सरकारी चेतावनियों की बारिश हुई। श्री चूनीभाई वैद्य
की गिरफ्तारी के बाद ' भूमिपुत्र' की संपादकीय जिम्मेदारी निभा रहे श्री कांतिभाई
शाह को भी परेशान करने के बहुत प्रयत्न किए गए। सालों से ' अतुल' में रहनेवाले
श्री कांतिभाई से सरकार के अप्रत्यक्ष दबाव के कारण ही अपना निवास-स्थान
छोड़ने के लिए कहा गया था।
साप्ताहिक ' साधना ' को तो दो मोरचों पर संघर्ष करना पड़ा था। एक ओर
सरकार के अन्यायी कानून 'साधना' को अपनी गिरफ्त में लेने को प्रयत्तशील थे,
दूसरी ओर 'साधना' के साथ डंडाशाही का बरताव किया जा रहा था। कानून के
असली स्वरूप का तो कहीं नामोनिशान तक नहीं था। किंतु चूँकि 'साधना' ने तो
आपातकाल के प्रारंभ से ही सेंसरशिप का डटकर मुकाबला करने की ठान ली थी,
अत: सरकार उसे तंग करे, उससे पहले ही उसने सरकार को तंग करना शुरू कर
दिया था। अगस्त १९७५ में एक लेख लिखा गया। आपातस्थिति के काले कारनामों
की पोल खोलनेवाले तथा उसका कड़ा विरोध करनेवाले इस लेख को प्रकाशित
करने की सेंसरशिप प्राधिकरण ने अनुमति नहीं दी। 'साधना' ने अदालत का द्वार
खटखटाया। अदालत ने 'साधना' का समर्थन किया और लेख प्रकाशित हुआ।
नवचेतना का संचार हुआ, किंतु उसी क्षण से ' साधना' पर सरकार की भृकुटी टेढ़ी
हो गई । इसके बावजूद अपनी पहली लड़ाई में ही मिली विजय ने उसका आत्मविश्वास
बढ़ा दिया था। उसने आक्रमणकारी रवैया अपनाया। खतरों को झेलने की तैयारी के
साथ उसने अपना दीपावली अंक 'लोकशाही विशेषांक' के रूप में प्रकाशित

देशव्यापी सत्याग्रह के विस्तृत समाचार प्रकाशित किए जाते रहे | गुजरात में मोरचा
सरकार के पतन के अगले ही दिन 'साधना' के संपादक श्री विष्णुभाई पंड्या को
गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। “साधना प्रकाशन मुद्रणालय' पर आएदिन छापे पड़ने
