का संचार हो पाना संभव था। इसके लिए अहमदाबाद कैंटोनमेंट स्थित “कैंप
हनुमान् मंदिर' के सामने के खुले मैदान में एक पतंग-स्पर्धा का आयोजन किया
गया। इसमें संघ के तीन सौ से भी अधिक कार्यकर्ता अपनी-अपनी पतंगें लेकर
आपातकाल की पतंग काटने के लिए एकत्र हुए। चार घंटों तक यह कार्यक्रम
चला। कार्यक्रम समाप्त होने के बाद ही सरकार को यह पता चल पाया था कि संघ
के प्रतिबंधित होने के बावजूद आवश्यकता पड़ने पर उसके कार्यकर्ता इतनी बड़ी
संख्या में और बिना किसी को कानोकान खबर हुए एकत्र हो सकते हैं।
जेलों के अंदर--रक्षाबंधन हो या दीपावली, जन्माष्टमी हो या विजयादशमी--
जेलवासियों के परिजनों की भीड़ लग जाती थी। किसी मेले जैसा दृश्य खड़ा हो
जाया करता था। इस भीड़ में उपस्थित हर व्यक्ति का रिश्ता संघर्ष से था, अत: हर
किसी के दिल में निरंतर एक ज्वाला-सी जलती रहती थी । संघर्ष पथ के सहप्रवासी
इन साथी-परिवारों की हिम्मत ही जेल की चहारदीवारियों में घिरे सहयोगियों का
मनोबल दृढ़ बनाए रख सकती है, यह बात हम भली-भाँति जानते थे। अत: इन
एकत्र हुए परिजनों के बीच कुछ खास कार्यकर्ताओं को हम भेजा करते थे। ये
कार्यकर्ता इन परिवारों को छोटे-छोटे दलों में एकत्र कर हिम्मत, श्रद्धा और विश्वास
का संचार करनेवाली अपनी बातों के द्वारा उन सभी में नवचेतना जगानेवाला एक
उत्साहपूर्ण माहौल बना देते थे। जेल में कैद अपने परिजन से मिलने का इंतजार कर
रहे इन लोगों में--जेल के ही द्वार पर--चेतना का सिंचन करने की हमारी इस
योजना के बारे में सरकार को कभी भी भनक तक नहीं लग सकी।
गुजरात सरकार गिरने के बाद शुरू हुए भूमिगत अभियान का ही यह एक
हिस्सा था। ये सारी योजनाएँ भूमिगत होकर बनती थीं, किंतु उन पर अमल
खुलेआम होता था। योजना बनानेवाले भूमिगत थे, किंतु इन योजनाओं को अमली
जामा पहनानेवाले हजारों कार्यकर्ता सीना ताने खुलेआम घूम रहे थे। विभिन्न
स्वरूपों में हो रहे अनेक सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रमों के अलावा कुछ ऐसे कार्यक्रम भी
थे जिनका कार्यान्वयन भी संघर्ष की समाप्ति तक भूमिगत तरीके से ही किया गया।
