का भूमिगत साहित्य भी जेलों के भीतर बड़ी मात्रा में पहुँचाया जाता था। विदेश से
प्रकाशित होनेवाला “सत्यवाणी' तथा दुनिया भर के जिन-जिन अखबारों में
आपातस्थिति के खिलाफ आलेख छपते, उन आलेखों की फोटोकॉपी विदेश स्थित
हमारे सहयोगी हमें पहुँचा दिया करते थे। उन सामग्रियों की आवश्यकतानुसार
प्रतियाँ बनवाकर उन्हें हम जेलों तक पहुँचाते। इसके अलावा गुजरात की भूमिगत
पत्रिकाएँ तथा आपातकाल के खिलाफ लिखनेवाले गुजराती प्रकाशन ‘arent’,
* भूमिपुत्र', “साधना' (मराठी में) इत्यादि भी जेलों के भीतर पहुँचाए जाते थे।
महाराष्ट्र की सुप्रसिद्ध यरवदा जेल से तो एक भूमिगत अखबार का नियमित रूप से
प्रकाशन भी हुआ करता था।

जेलों में भी “लोकतंत्र के लिए संघर्ष” की मूल भावना की लगातार
अभिव्यक्ति होती रहती थी। इसी सिलसिले में साबरमती जेल में कैद कुछ
सहयोगियों ने एक विशेष कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया। जेल में ही आपातकाल
का कलुषित इतिहास लिखकर जेल में कैद मीसाबंदियों की सूची के साथ सारी
सामग्री, लंबे समय तक सुरक्षित रह सके इस प्रकार, काँच के मर्तबान में रखकर,
इस कैप्सूल को जेल की ही जमीन में गहरा गड्ढा खोदकर गाड़ देने की योजना
बनाई गई। योजना सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न भी हुई। इस बात की जानकारी बहुत
कम राजनीतिक कैदियों को थी; किंतु किसी के धोखा देने पर यह जानकारी
जेल-प्रशासन तक पहुँच गई। बस, फिर तो पूछना ही क्या! जेल के सिपाहियों
एवं अधिकारियों का एक बड़ा दल आ पहुँचा।
अधिकारियों ने प्राप्त जानकारी के आधार पर जमीन खोदकर मर्तबान
बाहर निकाला। खोजबीन शुरू हुई। मर्तबान के भीतर की सामग्री की लिखावटें
पहचान ली गईं और कुल दस मीसाबंदियों को जेल-बदली की सजा दी गई। श्री
चकुभाई डोडिया को भुज, रतनलाल गुप्ता को जामनगर, कनुभाई पुनानर को
महेसाणा, डॉ. छतसाणी को पालनपुर, नरेंद्र तिवारी को जूनागढ़, अंबुभाई बारदानवाला
को भावनगर, मंगलसेन चोपरा को राजकोट और डॉ. संघवी को सुरेंद्रनगर की
जेलों में भेज दिया गया।
जेलों में और भी कई कार्यक्रम होते रहते थे, जैसे--संघर्ष के समर्थन में
उपवास करना, संविधान संशोधन के विरोध में सरकार को आवेदन भेजना, हर जेल
