किसी भी जेल में चौबीस घंटे से भी कम समय में पहुँचा सकते थे। जेलों की
नवीनतम तथा संपूर्ण जानकारी भी हमारे पास हमेशा उपलब्ध रहती थी। रोज के
कार्यक्रमों की सूची, हर कार्यकर्ता की व्यक्तिगत मन:स्थिति, किस बैठक में कितने
कार्यकर्ता हैं, हर कार्यकर्ता की जेल के बाहर के लोगों से क्या अपेक्षाएँ हैं, कितने
कार्यकर्ता पेरोल पर हैं इत्यादि हर तरह की जानकारी हमारे पास रहा करती थी। यह
जानकारी इतनी यथातथ्य होती थी कि यदि कोई इन जानकारियों के कागजातों के
साथ पकड़ा जाए तो उसपर जेल तोड़ने की कोशिश का आरोप बड़ी आसानी से
साबित किया जा सकता था।
इस जानकारी में जेल का पूरा नक्शा, जेल में तैनात सिपाहियों व अधिकारियों
की संख्या, उनके नित्यकर्म, उनकी विचारधारा इत्यादि सब जानकारी जेल के भीतर
के हमारे कुछ सतर्क साथी हमें भेजते रहते थे। इसके अलावा जेलों में बंद
कार्यकर्ताओं का बाहर चल रहे भूमिगत आंदोलन में भी सहयोग लिया जाता था।
“जनसत्ता' अखबार में प्रत्येक शुक्रवार को प्रकाशित होनेवाले स्तंभ 'समय ना
हस्ताक्षर ' के लिए आलेख भावनगर जेल में कैद श्री विष्णुभाई पंड्या ही लिखकर
भेजा करते थे। यह स्तंभ 'राहुल' के eH नाम से प्रकाशित होता था। केंद्रीय लोक
संघर्ष समिति को भेजे जानेवाले ब्योरों का कच्चा आलेख जेल के कुछ साथियों को
भेजा जाता था, जो उसका अंग्रेजी अनुवाद कर उसे प्रेषण योग्य रूप देकर पुनः
बाहर भेज देते थे। भूमिगत साहित्य हेतु आवश्यक सामग्री भी जेलों से मिलती
रहती थी। 'साधना' में छपी संविधान संशोधन से संबंधित पूरी लेखमाला श्री
चंद्रकांत दरु ने कारावास से ही लिखकर भेजी थी । डॉ. स्वामी के व्यक्तित्व के बारे
में एक पुस्तक प्रकाशित करने का विचार किया गया था। इस हेतु आवश्यक सारी

इस पुस्तक की पांडुलिपि तैयार होकर बाहर आ गई, जिसे अगले चार दिनों के

कैद हर व्यक्ति को हर समय किसी नए समाचार को जानने की उत्कंठा बनी रहती
है। वस्तुत: बाहर से आनेवाले समाचार ही जेलवासियों के मनोबल को पोषण देते
रहते हैं। इस आवश्यकता की पूर्ति के लिए भी हमें नियमित रूप से जेलों के भीतर
समाचार पहुँचाने होते थे। किसी नए समाचार के न होने की स्थिति में भी "आज
