परिचित नेताओं को पृथक्-पृथक् रूप से इन घरों तक पहुँचाया गया। कुछ समय
तक उन्हें उन घरों में रोककर, बाद में दूसरी ओरवाले प्रवेश-द्वार पर खड़ी कारों में
बैठाकर सभी को बैठक स्थल तक पहुँचा दिया गया। इस योजना के द्वारा नेताओं
पर निगरानी रखनेवाले BEA सहचरों को भीतर जानेवाले प्रवेश-द्वारों पर ही उलझाए
रखते हुए नेताओं को उनकी निगरानी से निजात दिलवाने में सफलता प्राप्त हुई।
सवेरे नौ बजे तक करीब सभी को बैठक स्थान पर पहुँचा देने के बाद ही हमने चैन
की साँस ली।
अब केवल श्री जॉर्ज फर्नांडीज का आना ही शेष रह गया था। उन्हें लेने के
लिए गए कार्यकर्ता को आने में कुछ विलंब हो गया था; किंतु तब तक उपस्थित
नेताओं ने आपस में मशवरा कर हमें सूचना भेजी कि श्री जॉर्ज के आने पर उन्हें
बैठक में न लाकर एक अलग कमरे में बैठाया जाए तथा उनके आगमन की सूचना
बैठक में पहुँचाई जाए। हम तक यह सूचना पहुँचाने के तुरंत बाद ही श्री जॉर्ज आ
पहुँचे । सूचनानुसार हमने उनके आगमन की खबर बैठक तक पहुँचाई। खबर पाते
ही श्री रवींद्र वर्मा, श्री एस.एम. जोशी इत्यादि श्री जॉर्ज से मिलने के लिए स्वयं
उनके पास पहुँचे। ऐसा इसलिए किया गया था कि उनमें से कुछ नेताओं का यह
मानना था कि श्री जॉर्ज के बैठक में उपस्थित रहने पर उनके लिबास और उनके
द्वारा बैठक को दी गई गोपनीय जानकारी की सूचना सभा में उपस्थित कुछ
संभावित रूप से संदेहास्पद व्यक्तियों के माध्यम से सरकार तक पहुँचने की पूरी
आशंका थी। कुछ बातचीत के बाद श्री जॉर्ज तुरंत वापस लौट गए। हालाँकि बैठक
