में विपक्षी सांसदों की एक बैठक अहमदाबाद में होनी थी। इस बैठक के समानांतर
देश के भूमिगत नेताओं की भी एक बैठक करने का निर्णय “लोक संघर्ष समिति'
ने किया था। इस बैठक का आयोजन और तत्संबंधित प्रबंध करने के लिए वे
गुजरात आए थे। गुजरात के संघ कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ उन्होंने विचार-विमर्श
किया। “लोक संघर्ष समिति” की अखिल भारतीय भूमिगत बैठक का प्रबंध करना
एक बहुत बड़ा और जिम्मेदारी का कार्य था। उन्होंने केंद्रीय संघर्ष समिति की ओर
से यह कार्य हमें सौंपा।
गुजरात प्रवास का उनका दूसरा उद्देश्य २५ दिसंबर को पवनार में श्री
विनोबाजी की उपस्थिति में होनेवाले सम्मेलन के संबंध में था। केंद्रीय 'लोक
संघर्ष समिति' की ओर से इस सम्मेलन में सम्मिलित होनेवाले प्रतिनिधियों को देश
की वास्तविक परिस्थितियों से सुपरिचित करवाना था, ताकि पवनार सम्मेलन में
लोकतंत्र के पक्ष में लिये जानेवाले निर्णयों में वे अपना योगदान दे सकें। इन
प्रतिनिधियों को सुसज्जित करने का कार्य भी श्री ठेंगड़ीजी ने गुजरात के संघ
कार्यकर्ताओं को सौंपा। साथ ही केंद्रीय लोक संघर्ष समिति की ओर से पवनार
सम्मेलन में वितरित किए जाने हेतु बड़ी संख्या में भूमिगत साहित्य तैयार कर उसे
'पवनार तक पहुँचाने की जिम्मेदारी भी हमें ही निभानी थी। जो भूमिगत साहित्य
सामग्री छपवानी थी, वह हमें देकर श्री दत्तोपंतजी गुजरात से दिल्ली के लिए विदा
हुए। अब इन कार्यों को बहुत कम समय में निपटाने का दायित्व हमारे कंधों पर था।

के विभाग प्रचारक श्री भास्करराव दामले, प्रांत प्रचारक श्री देशमुखजी तथा मैं
अहमदाबाद में एकत्र हुए। साहित्य .छपकर तैयार था। विभिन्न प्रकार के भूमिगत
साहित्य की लगभग पाँच हजार प्रतियाँ हमें पवनार पहुँचानी थीं। अनेक विषयों से
