सत्याग्रह के दौरान भी ‘cies dad समिति' के राष्ट्र स्तरीय नेताओं के
गुजरात दौरे होते रहते थे। इन नेताओं ने देश भर में हो रहे सत्याग्रह से संबद्ध
गतिविधियों की समीक्षा तथा सत्याग्रह के द्वितीय चरण के बारे में आयोजना हेतु
गुजरात में एक बैठक का आयोजन किया। भूमिगत आंदोलन के प्रमुख नेता श्री
दत्तोपंतजी ठेंगड़ी इस सिलसिले में दिसंबर के प्रथम सप्ताह में गुजरात आए। उनके
इस प्रवास के और भी कई उद्देश्य थे। वे स्वयं ' भारतीय मजदूर संघ' के नेता थे,
अत: अधिक-से-अधिक श्रमिक इस सत्याग्रह में अपना योगदान दें, इसलिए देश
भर के श्रमिक नेताओं से वे मिलते रहते थे। गुजरात के इस प्रवास के दौरान भी वे

उनकी इस मुलाकात में देशव्यापी सत्याग्रह के प्रभावों, सत्याग्रह की व्यापकता,
प्रजा का जोश, सरकार का व्यवहार इत्यादि कई मुददों पर चर्चाएँ हुईं। उन दिनों
समान विचारधारावाले मजदूर संगठन एक मंच पर एकत्र होकर कार्य करें, ऐसी
एक सोच पनप रही थी। इसी संदर्भ में 'मजूर महाजन' इन संगठनों को एकजुट
करने में क्या योगदान दे सकता है, इस बारे में भी विस्तृत चर्चा हुई। श्री ठेंगड़ीजी
ने यह आग्रह भी किया कि देश भर में हो रहे सत्याग्रह में 'मजूर महाजन' को भी
अपना सक्रिय सहयोग देना चाहिए।
