से समाचार मिलते रहते थे। श्री विष्णुभाई पंड्या इस भूमिगत पत्रिका के संपादन
का दायित्व निभाते थे। भूमिगत पत्रिका की पांडुलिपि तैयार करने के बाद उसकी
आठ प्रतियाँ बनाई जातीं। इन प्रतियों को गुजरात के भिन्न-भिन्न आठ स्थानों पर
भेजकर उन स्थानों पर आस-पास के क्षेत्रों की आवश्यकतानुसार इन पत्रिकाओं को
छापकर गाँव-गाँव तक उन्हें पहुँचाया जाता था। सत्याग्रह के दौरान “सत्याग्रह
समाचार' की एक लाख प्रतियाँ प्रति सप्ताह छपती थीं। “सत्याग्रह समाचार' के
अलावा 'जन-जागृति ', 'जनता समाचार ', 'लोक समाचार ', 'तणखा' (चिनगारी),
*संघर्ष समाचार ' इत्यादि शीर्षकों से भी भूमिगत पत्रिकाएँ प्रकाशित करके उन्हें
गुजरात के घर-घर तक पहुँचाने के प्रयत्न किए जाते थे। ये पत्रिकाएँ गलत हाथों
में न पड़ें, इसलिए संघ के स्वयंसेवक स्वयं देर रात को घर-घर जाकर पत्रिकाओं
का वितरण करते थे। सत्याग्रह से संबद्ध समाचारों के प्रचार में सामयिक पत्रिका
*साधना' ने भी महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया था। aera’ ही एकमात्र ऐसा सामयिक
था जो कि सत्याग्रह के समाचार सत्याग्रह के अंत तक बराबर छापता रहा था।
*साधना' की पहुँच देश के हर राज्य, हर जेल तक थी, अत: उसका देवनागरी लिपि
में प्रकाशन भी प्रारंभ किया गया। सत्याग्रह के स्थान व समय की जानकारी लोगों
तक पहुँचाने के लिए भी विशेष प्रयत्न करने होते थे। इसके लिए गुजरात के कई
शहरों में एक हजार से भी अधिक की संख्या में ब्लैक-बोर्ड लगवाए गए, जिन पर
उन क्षेत्रों के स्वयंसेवकों द्वारा समाचार लिखे जाते थे। इसके अलावा विद्यार्थी
स्वयंसेवकों को भी सूचनाएँ दी गईं कि वे अपनी-अपनी कक्षा के ब्लैक-बोर्ड पर
संघर्ष के समाचार तथा कार्यक्रमों की सूचनाएँ नियमित रूप से लिखें। इस तरीके से
बिना किसी खर्च और बिना किसी खतरे के साथ अत्यंत व्यापक प्रचार सरलतापूर्वक
किया जा सका। मोरचा सरकार के गिरने के बाद भी इसी तरीके को उपयोग में
लाया जाता रहा। इन छोटे-छोटे, किंतु अत्यंत प्रभावशाली प्रचार-साधनों की ओर
सरकार की निगाह तक न पड़ सकी थी।
सत्याग्रह का विशेष प्रभाव
संघर्ष के प्रारंभ से लेकर परिवर्तन तक किए गए प्रतिकार के अनेक कार्यक्रमों
में सत्याग्रह का विशेष महत्त्व रहा। अकर्मण्यतायुक्त सद्विचार अंततः नपुंसक ही
सिद्ध होते हैं, उनका कोई अर्थ नहीं रहता; किंतु कर्म-निष्ठायुक्त सद्विचार भले
