प्रभाव के द्वारा समाज को निर्भीक बनाकर ही रहेंगे। सत्याग्रह के दौरान ही कोई
परिवर्तन हो जाएगा या कोई शुभ परिणाम प्राप्त हो सकेगा, यह आशा न तो
सत्याग्रहियों को थी और न ही सत्याग्रह की आयोजक “लोक संघर्ष समिति' को
थी। सत्याग्रह में निहित यह था कि समाज के fret सरफरोशों की सात्त्विक

अपना दायित्व मानते हुए राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ताओं को सत्याग्रह को भी उतना ही
महत्त्व देना चाहिए था, जो कि नहीं हुआ। आगे चलकर परिवर्तन का कारण
बननेवाले इस सत्याग्रह से गुजरात के राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ताओं तथा दलों ने अपना
मुँह मोड़ लिया। इससे अधिक निंदनीय बात और क्या हो सकती है ?
सत्याग्रह की सफलता में अन्य राज्यों के ही समान गुजरात में भी संघ ने
महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया था। सत्याग्रहियों के दल बनाने से लेकर प्रचार कार्य
सहित सभी कार्यों को संघ के स्वयंसेवकों ने बड़ी कुशलतापूर्वक अंजाम दिया
था। हमारे राष्ट्र की चेतना जीवंत है, सक्रिय है तथा किसी भी प्रकार के अनिष्टों
का वह डटकर सामना कर सकती है, यह इस घटना से सिद्ध हुआ और इसीलिए
सत्याग्रह के दौरान ही 'लोक संघर्ष समिति' के मंत्री श्री रवींद्र वर्मा ने अपने पत्र
में लिखा था--
