“सत्याग्रह पर्व' के अंतिम दिन गुजरात में विशेष तरीके से सत्याग्रह किया
गया। गुजरात के सभी जिलों में सत्याग्रहियों का एक-एक दल अहमदाबाद पहुँचा।
२६ जनवरी की दोपहर तीन बजे वसंत चौक में एकत्र हुए इन सत्याग्रहियों को
विधायक श्री अशोक भट्ट ने संबोधित किया। तत्पश्चात् सर्वश्री चिमनभाई शुक्ल,
शंकरसिंह वाघेला तथा विधायक भवानसिंह, गाभाजी ठाकोर व अशोक भट्ट के
नेतृत्व में ये सत्याग्रही एक जुलूस के रूप में आकाशवाणी के अहमदाबाद केंद्र पर

बोलो--वंदे मातरम्', 'तू तीर आजमा, हम जिगर आजमाएँ' के नारों से आकाशवाणी
भवन के आस-पास का क्षेत्र गूँज उठा। नारों की हुंकार के बाद सत्याग्रह पत्रिका
का पठन कर गुजरात भर के करीबन तीन सौ पचास सत्याग्रहियों ने श्री चिमनभाई
शुक्ल के नेतृत्व में गिरफ्तारी दी।
अहमदाबाद तथा वडोदरा में श्रमिक नेताओं के नेतृत्व में विशेष दलों ने
सत्याग्रह किए। ' अहमदाबाद Sat यूनियन' के तेरह श्रमिकों ने श्री जगदीश त्रिपाठी
के नेतृत्व में सेंसर अधिकारी के कार्यालय के समक्ष सत्याग्रह किया। वडोदरा में
भारतीय मजदूर संघ के नेता श्री केशवभाई ठकक््कर के नेतृत्व में इक्यावन कामदारों
ने सत्याग्रह करते हुए गरीबों की कथित रूप से हितरक्षक सरकार के मिथ्याचार का
विरोध किया एवं लोकतंत्र के पुनःस्थापन की माँग की।
ढाई माह तक चले इस सत्याग्रह में Sa की एक सौ सड़सठ तहसीलों
के एक सौ तिहत्तर दलों ने हिस्सा लिया, जिसमें दो सौ तिहत्तर महिलाओं सहित दो
हजार तीन सौ पच्चीस सत्याग्रहियों ने सत्याग्रह कर कारावास को स्वीकार किया।

सत्याग्रह का प्रचार
कुछ गिने-चुने कार्यकर्ता सत्याग्रह कर जेल में बंद हो जाएँ, उतने भर से ही
अपेक्षित कार्यसिद्धि प्राप्त नहीं हो सकती | जो सत्याग्रह जन-जन के हृदय को छू न
जाए और जिसमें समाज के हर व्यक्ति का प्रत्यक्ष या परोक्ष योगदान न हो, उसको
संपूर्ण नहीं माना जा सकता। अत: सत्याग्रह की सफलता के लिए उसके बारे में हर
जानकारी का लोगों तक पहुँचना अति आवश्यक था। इसके लिए गुजरात में
सत्याग्रह के दौरान सत्याग्रह के समाचार देनेवाली विशेष भूमिगत पत्रिका ' सत्याग्रह
समाचार ' प्रकाशित करने का निर्णय लिया गया। इस पत्रिका में गुजरात के अलावा
देश भर के सत्याग्रहियों के समाचार भी दिए जाते थे। इस प्रकाशन के लिए हमें संघ

Satyagraha was carried out in a special way in Gujarat on the last day of 'Satyagraha festival'.
