सत्याग्रह प्रबंधन बैठक
कुछ दिनों बाद श्री वर्मा दोबारा अहमदाबाद आए। विगत मुलाकात में
जैसा कि तय किया गया था, हम लोगों को सत्याग्रह के बारे में सविस्तार बातचीत
करनी थी। अत: संघ के एक कार्यकर्ता डॉ. वणीकर के निवास पर यह बैठक
रखी गई। इसके लिए श्री वसंतभाई गजेंद्र गडकर, श्री रवींद्र वर्मा, गांधी शांति
प्रतिष्ठान के श्री राधाकृष्णनजी, श्री केशवरावजी देशमुख और मैं--इस प्रकार
कुल पाँच लोग एकत्र हुए।
मीटिंग में सत्याग्रह के लिए अनुकूल दिन, गुजरात में सत्याग्रह का स्वरूप,
अधिक-से-अधिक कितनी तहसीलों में सत्याग्रह का वातावरण बनाया जा सकता
है, सत्याग्रह के समाचार लोगों तक पहुँचाने के लिए विशेष भूमिगत पत्रिका,
सत्याग्रह के दौरान ही गुजरात में होनेवाले चुनावों पर सत्याग्रह का प्रभाव, राजनीतिक
दलों के कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा सत्याग्रह में शामिल होने की संभावनाएँ, सत्याग्रहियों
की संभावित संख्या, मोरचा सरकार की ओर से सत्याग्रहियों के प्रति waa at
संभावनाएँ इत्यादि अनेक विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई।
इसके अलावा गुजरात के पड़ोसी राज्य गुजरात को किस प्रकार से मदद कर
सकते हैं, इस बारे में चर्चा हुई। सत्याग्रह की निश्चित तिथि घोषित किए जाने के
बाद सरकार अधिक सख्त होकर सत्याग्रह से पहले ही कई लोगों को पकड़कर
सत्याग्रह को विफल बनाने के प्रयत्न करेगी, इस बात की भी पूरी संभावना थी।
सत्याग्रह और जन-जागृति के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर साहित्य तैयार कर उसका
वितरण करना भी एक समस्या थी, क्योंकि सरकार द्वारा विभिन्न प्रेसों पर निगरानी
रखा जाना निश्चित था। इन परिस्थितियों में महाराष्ट्र, राजस्थान व मध्य प्रदेश
गुजरात के कैसे मददगार हों, इस बारे में भी इस बैठक में विचार किया गया।
गुजरात लोक संघर्ष समिति की तैयारियाँ
“गुजरात लोक संघर्ष समिति' के संयोजक श्री भोगीलाल गांधी समिति
का संगठन-तंत्र और अधिक सुगठित बनाने में व्यस्त थे। गुजरात के प्रमुख केंद्रों
पर इस बारे में विचार-विमर्श हेतु ७, ८ तथा ९ सितंबर को राजकोट, वडोदरा,
अहमदाबाद, सूरत इत्यादि सभी जिलों में कार्यकर्ताओं की बैठकें आयोजित की
ag इन संगठन-बैठकों में सर्वश्री दिनिेशभाई, आर.के. अमीन, शंकरसिंह वाघेला,
ब्रह्मकुमार भट्ट तथा भोगीलाल गांधी जैसे नेताओं ने उपस्थित रहकर कार्यकर्ताओं
का मार्गदर्शन किया।
