अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद्
जनवरी माह के प्रथम सप्ताह में अहमदाबाद में अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी
परिषद् के कार्यकर्ताओं की एक बैठक हुई। विद्यार्थी परिषद् पर भी श्रीमती गांधी
'कोपायमान थीं। परिणामस्वरूप विद्यार्थी संगठन के भी कई छोटे-बड़े कार्यकर्ताओं
को पकड़ लिया गया था। फिर भी बहुत से विद्यार्थी गिरफ्तारी से बचते हुए भूमिगत
हो गए थे। ये भूमिगत विद्यार्थी कार्यकर्ता राष्ट्रव्यापी आंदोलन के माध्यम से
विद्यार्थियों में चेतना का प्रसार कर तथा उन्हें भयमुक्त कर संघर्ष के लिए संगठित
करने के प्रयत्न किया करते थे। विद्यार्थी परिषद् के इन संघर्षरत कार्यकर्ताओं की
एक बैठक भी जनसंघ कार्यकारिणी की बैठक के समान ही पूरी सावधानी के साथ
आयोजित की गई।
इस बैठक में देश के कोने-कोने से लगभग पचास कार्यकर्ता अहमदाबाद
पहुँचे थे। विद्यार्थी संगठनों में गुप्तचर विभाग के लोगों की पहुँच होने की संभावना
अधिक होती है, अत: बैठक की समाप्ति के बाद हर कार्यकर्ता को सकुशल वापस
पहुँचाने तक की सारी जिम्मेदारी गुजरात ने ले रखी थी। इस भूमिगत बैठक का
सारा प्रबंध विद्यार्थी परिषद् की गुजरात शाखा के कार्यकर्ताओं सर्वश्री नारायणभाई
भंडारी, चंद्रकांत शुक्ल, नटवरभाई राजगुरु इत्यादि ने अपने जिम्मे ले लिया था।
इस बैठक में विद्यार्थियों को अधिकाधिक सक्रिय बनाने की योजनाएँ बनाई
गईं; इसके अलावा यह भी निर्णय लिया गया कि विभिन्न विद्यार्थी समूह अपनी
समस्याओं के खिलाफ निडरतापूर्वक आवाज उठा सकें, इस हेतु भी प्रयत्न किए
जाएँ। संघर्ष के दौरान विद्यार्थियों द्वारा की जानेवाली गतिविधियों व आपातस्थिति
