भारतीय नेता श्री मोरोपंत पिंगले, संस्था कांग्रेस के श्री रवींद्र वर्मा, गांधी शांति
प्रतिष्ठान के श्री राधाकृष्णन, जनसंघ के श्री सुब्रह्मण्यम स्वामी व श्री सुंदर सिंह
भंडारी, भारतीय मजदूर संघ के श्री दत्तोपंत ठेंगड़ी इत्यादि नेता सितंबर-अक्तूबर
माह के दौरान गुजरात आए थे।
उन दिनों सरकार के विरोध में व्यापक जन-आंदोलन खड़ा करने की
मंत्रणा चल रही थी। तत्संबंधित संभावनाओं के बारे में पता लगाने के लिए ये नेता
