गुजरात का स्थान एक द्वीप के समान था। संघर्ष के आरंभिक दिनों का भूमिगत
संपर्क केंद्र गुजरात आगे चलकर देशव्यापी आंदोलन का एक महत्त्वपूर्ण अंग बना।
