संघ कार्यालय ही हम प्रचारकों के लिए निवास-स्थान हुआ करते हैं।
४ जुलाई को संघ पर प्रतिबंध लगाया गया और संघ के कार्यालयों पर सरकार ने
कब्जा कर लिया। अत: मैं एवं संघ के प्रांत प्रचारक श्री केशवराव देशमुख दोनों
श्री वसंतभाई गजेंद्र गडकर के ही घर पर रहा करते थे।
प्रात: उठकर टहलने जाना मेरे नित्यकर्म का अभिन्न अंग होने से टहलने के
लिए मैं आंबावाड़ी (अहमदाबाद का एक इलाका) स्थित परिमल गार्डन में जाया
करता था। उसी समय श्री प्रभुदास पटवारी (जो तमिलनाडु के राज्यपाल भी रह
चुके हैं) भी वहाँ टहलने के लिए आया करते थे। उनसे मेरा घनिष्ठ परिचय जुलाई
के प्रथम सप्ताह में ही हुआ था। संघ की भूमिगत अवस्था के दौरान की व्यवस्थाओं
के कारण मुझे देश के अधिकांश क्षेत्रों के समाचारों की जानकारी रहा करती थी।
मैं नियमित रूप से श्री प्रभुदासभाई को उन जानकारियों से अवगत कराता रहता था।
