२ अक्तूबर को “केंद्रीय लोक संघर्ष समिति' की ओर से पोस्टर प्रचार के
कार्यक्रम का ऐलान किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर किया जाना था,
अत: केंद्रीय समिति की ओर से ही एक बड़े से पोस्टर का ब्लॉक प्रत्येक प्रांत की
संघर्ष समिति को भेजा गया था। इस पोस्टर में गांधीजी के चित्र के साथ एक सूत्र
वाक्य ' असत्य, अन्याय और दमन के सामने झुकना कायरता है' लिखा हुआ था।
इसके अलावा जे.पी. एवं गांधीजी की मुखमुद्राओंवाले ‘sa’ भी प्रांतीय संघर्ष
समितियों को भेजे गए थे, जिन पर एक नारा भी लिखा था--'निडर बनें, लोकतंत्र
को कायम रखें '।
इस पोस्टर की बीस हजार प्रतियाँ तथा पाँच हजार बैज बनवाकर गुजरात
भर में वितरित किए गए। २ अक्तूबर की सुबह संपूर्ण गुजरात में चिपके हुए एक
समान पोस्टर एवं युवाओं के सीनों पर लगे एक समान बैज आपातकाल के चाहकों
के लिए चिंता का विषय बन गए थे। उन्होंने इसे केंद्र सरकार की चापलूसी करने
का मौका समझकर इस स्थिति के विरोध में संबंधित स्थानों पर खूब आवेदन भी
कर दिए।
२ अक्तूबर-गांधी जयंती से ३१ अक्तूबर--सरदार पटेल जयंती तक की
समयावधि में दो प्रभावी कार्यक्रम हुए। ये कार्यक्रम थे पद-यात्राओं के। सरदार
पटेल की पुत्री कु. मणी बहन के आशीर्वाद लेकर श्री नारायणभाई देसाई के नेतृत्व
में बारदोली से एक पदयात्रा एवं श्री महेंद्र भट्ट के नेतृत्व में पोरबंदर से दूसरी
SAAT प्रारंभ BE | इन दोनों पदयात्राओं का ३१ अक्तूबर को साबरमती में स्वागत
किया गया। यात्रा के दौरान जगह-जगह पर स्वागत सभाओं एवं गोष्ठियों के
कार्यक्रम हुए। ये पदयात्राएँ उनको देखनेवालों के लिए भी निडरता की ्योतक
सिद्ध हुईं। पदयात्राओं के अहमदाबाद पहुँचने पर भी जगह-जगह पर उनका
स्वागत हुआ तथा जन-सम्मेलनों का आयोजन हुआ।
१४ अक्तूबर को जे.पी. की जयंती के अवसर पर जे.पी. के जीवन पर
आधारित एक प्रदर्शनी का, गुजरात विद्यापीठ के कुलसचिव श्री धीरूभाई देसाई की
उपस्थिति में, श्री ईश्वर पेटलीकर द्वारा उद्घाटन किया गया। इस प्रदर्शनी में उनकी
तसवीरों के साथ-साथ उनके उद्धरणों को भी दरशाया गया था। बाद में इस प्रदर्शनी
को गुजरात के अन्य स्थानों पर भी ले जाया गया। यह प्रदर्शनी बहुत लोकप्रिय हुई
थी और हजारों की संख्या में लोगों ने इसे देखा और सराहा था।
