एक अन्य कार्यक्रम में नवनिर्माण आंदोलन के नेता एवं विद्यार्थी परिषद् के
प्रदेश संगठक श्री चंद्रकांत शुक्ल के नेतृत्व में विद्यार्थियों के एक बड़े जुलूस ने
संपूर्ण क्रांति की शपथ ली।
बडोदरा में भी अहमदाबाद की तरह ही आकाशवाणी भवन के सामने
सत्याग्रह किया गया। राजकोट में भी 'जनवाणी ' पत्रिका पढ़कर इक्कीस कार्यकर्ताओं
ने गिरफ्तारी दी। कई जगहों पर बड़े-बड़े जुलूसों का आयोजन किया गया।
अहमदाबाद की 'शिक्षक प्रतिकार समिति' ने जनशिक्षा की कक्षाएँ इत्यादि अनेक
कार्यक्रम चलाए।
अहमदाबाद में संघर्ष समिति की बैठक में ९ से १५ अगस्त तक सप्ताह भर
“लोकतंत्र पुनःस्थापना सप्ताह' मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया। तदनुसार गुजरात के
हर एक गाँव में प्रतीकात्मक सत्याग्रह किए गए। जन-चेतना को जीवंत रखने के
लिए मोरचा सरकार द्वारा ऐसे कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाना था, जिनमें
अधिक-से-अधिक लोग हिस्सा ले सकें।
स्वतंत्रता के बाद पहली बार अहमदाबाद के भद्र के किले पर 'जनता ध्वज
de’ का कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। मंत्रिमंडल के सभी सदस्यों सहित
राजनीतिक तथा सामाजिक नेताओं एवं हजारों की संख्या में आम जनता ने इस
कार्यक्रम में उत्साहपूर्वक हिस्सा लिया। परंपरानुसार प्रतिवर्ष १५ अगस्त की पूर्व
संध्या को आकाशवाणी के प्रादेशिक केंद्रों द्वारा अपने-अपने राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री का
वायु संदेश प्रसारित किया जाता है; परंतु इस बार गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री को अपना
वायु संदेश प्रसारण के पहले सेंसर करवाने के लिए कहा गया। इस शर्त के विरोध
में श्री बाबूभाई ने प्रसारण का बहिष्कार किया।
ध्वजारोहण के कार्यक्रम में श्री बाबुभाई ने आपातस्थिति को धैर्यपूर्वक
झेलने के लिए गुजरात की जनता का अभिवादन किया। गुजरात की जनता को
संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा, ' भारत भर में चाहे कुछ हो जाए, परंतु गुजरात
में कानून-व्यवस्था सरकार की सूझ-बूझ एवं प्रजा के सहयोग से कायम
रखी जाएगी।'
