મોરચાના ઘટક પક્ષો ઉપરાંત રા. સ્વ. સંઘ., જે. પી.વાદીઓ,
ama વગેરેનો કાર્યક્રમોને સફળ બનાવવાનો પ્રયત્ન રહેતો.
ગુજરાતમાં “લોકસંઘર્ષ સમિતિ'ના કાર્યક્રમો ઉપરાંત
અનેકવિધ લોકશાહીપ્રેમી સંસ્થાઓ આગળ આવી. કિમલોપના
ટેકાથી ખૂબ પાતળી બહુમતીથી ટકતી જનતા સરકારનું અસ્થિર
ભાવિ હોવા છતાં અનેક સંસ્થાઓએ પોતાની આગવી રીતે
કટોકટીનો પ્રતિકાર કર્યો. કોઇએ ઠરાવ પસાર કર્યા, કોઈએ
નિવેદનો લખી મોકલ્યાં, કોઇએ સંઘર્ષ માટેની તૈયારી કરી, તો
કૌઈએ પ્રદર્શનોનું આયોજન કર્યું.
વળી, ગુજરાત તો લોકશાહીના દ્વીપ સમાન હતું. સમગ્ર
દેશની નજર ગુજરાત સામે જ મંડાયેલી હતી; કારણ કે
દેશભરમાં લોકશાહીમાં મરી પરવારી હતી ત્યારે ગુજરાતમાં
મોરચા સરકારે લોકશાહીનો દીપ જલતો રાખ્યો હતો... આથી
ગુજરાત રાજ્ય, ગુજરાત બહારના લોકશાહીપ્રેમી નાગરિકોનાં
મિલન અને જાહેર અભિવ્યક્તિનું સ્થાન બની ગયું. અમદાવાદે
નિર્ભયતાથી આ લોકશાહીપ્રેમી નાગરિકોની મહેમાનગીરી કરી.
અમદાવાદમાં ઘણાં સંમેલનો યોજાયાં, જેમાં કટોકટીને
પડકારવામાં આવી. દેશના નરબંકાઓને સૂત્રબદ્ધ થવામાં
ગુજરાતની ભૂમિએ આગવું યોગદાન કર્યું.
