साथियों की सहायता से दो, तीन या चार जिलों का कार्यभार सँभालते थे। आरंभिक
दौर में अशोक भट्ट तथा घनश्याम मेहता दक्षिण गुजरात के भूमिगत आंदोलन से
संबद्ध जिम्मेदारियाँ सँभाला करते थे, किंतु बाद में वे पकड़े गए। सर्वश्री शंकरसिंह
aren, भीखूभाई भट्ट तथा विद्यार्थी परिषद् के अरुण ओझा संघर्ष का कार्य करते
समय ही पकड़ लिये गए थे।
आपातस्थिति की चुनौती का जवाब देने के लिए कई कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपने
रोजगार-व्यवसायों को छोड़कर, पूर्णकालिक रूप से संघर्ष अभियान में जुड़कर
देश-प्रेम की अनोखी मिसाल कायम की थी। तमिलनाडु में जनमे भाई श्री रवि
अय्यर महाराष्ट्र में पढ़ाई-लिखाई पूर्ण कर बंबई की एक बड़ी व्यावसायिक संस्था
में उच्च पद पर कार्यरत थे। संघर्ष के लिए उन्होंने अपनी नौकरी छोड़कर विद्यार्थी
परिषद् के लिए पूर्णकालिक रूप में काम करना शुरू कर दिया। आपातकाल के
दिनों में गुजरात विद्यार्थी परिषद् का काम सँभाला। ' आनंद शर्मा' के छद्म नाम से
वे लंबे अरसे तक गुजरात में रहे | बंबई से ही ऐसे दो और साथी थे-भाई प्रवीण
टाँक और श्री नरेश सोलंकी | दोनों पर पुलिस की मुखबिरी करनेवाले एक विद्यार्थी
की हत्या करने का आरोप लगाकर उनके नाम वारंट निकाल दिया गया था (बाद में
अदालत ने उन्हें निर्दोष घोषित कर दिया था) तथा उनपर मीसा भी लगाया गया था।
दोनों गुजरात आकर संघर्ष अभियान से जुड़ गए। प्रवीण टाँक ' अरविंद पाठक' के
छद्म नाम से वडोदरा की जिम्मेदारी सँभालते थे। श्री नरेश सोलंकी कुछ समय तक
गुजरात में रहे। बाद में उन्हें विदेश भेज दिया गया था। आपातकाल के बाद २३
सितंबर, १९७७ को जोहांसबर्ग में एक सड़क दुर्घटना में उनका निधन हो गया।
