स्थिति से ही इस पुस्तक का जन्म हुआ। चुनाव आए और जनता पक्ष की विजय
हुई। क्या यह निरा चमत्कार मात्र था! चुनावों से हुए क्रांतिकारी परिवर्तनों को
अकस्मात् ही हाथ लगी सफलता माननेवाला एक मत भी प्रचलित हुआ है; किंतु
वास्तविकता यह है कि लक्षित परिणामों की प्राप्ति के लिए लगातार बीस माह तक
सुनियोजित ढंग से संघर्ष करना पड़ा। इस संघर्ष से संबंधित छोटे प्रकार के अनेक .
सूक्ष्म, ज्ञात-अज्ञात पहलुओं की अपनी एक भव्य गाथा है। इस प्रकार से इस दूसरे
स्वातंत्र्य संघर्ष का अंग्रेजों के विरोध में हुए canis संघर्ष से लेशमात्र कम महत्त्व
